Systemix is the IT & Business Technology Club at IIFT.
It aims to provide a platform where prospective young managers will
gain experience with real-life issues and problems in the field of IT.
Systemix works towards the mission of equipping students with the
latest happenings in the technology space and making them competitive
enough to face the challenging business scenario. It is the hub that
provides all students a chance to strengthen their knowledge about the
managerial perspectives of IT and Telecom.
Activities
Symposiums: The
club organizes a National level IT symposium every year on topics of
national and international importance. This year, on 30th July 2009,
the club conducted the fifth edition of the National IT Symposium on
the theme ‘Indian IT: Opportunities in the emerging market scenario’.
The event witnessed the turnout of who’s who of the IT industry
including Mr. Som Mittal, President, NASCOM as the keynote speaker and
Mr. Raman Roy, Chairman, Quatrro known in the industry as the ‘Father
of Indian BPO’ as the guest of honour. Other notable organizations
which participated in the symposium included Microsoft, Nokia, SAP
Labs, IBM, CSC, HCL, Wipro, NIIT and TERI.
Knowledge Sessions and
Workshops: Knowledge sessions involve speakers from the
industry sharing their valuable insights on concurrent issues with the
club members. Workshops are designed to provide hands-on experience to
the members on databases and other utility tools.
Club Meetings:
Meetings acts as a forum for idea generation, resume building, career
guidance etc. The objective is to promote creativity and thinking
among the members along with mutual knowledge sharing about recent
trends in the field of IT.
