Socrates, the Consulting Club
 

Socrates is the Consulting Club at IIFT with a mission to educate students about the consulting industry and prepare them for a career in consultancy.

Objective:

 To provide the students with an opportunity to work on consulting projects.

 Provides a platform where students from diverse professional backgrounds and diverse interests contribute and thus provide different perspectives to the problems.

 To prepare the students for the recruitment process in consulting firms by conducting various mock case interview sessions and other related activities.

Activities

Club will focus on the following activities:

Arranging live projects on consulting across various industries.

Organizing Strategy Games and puzzle competition.

Discussion of live and already solved business cases in the industry

Preparing students for an active participation in business strategy games organized by different B-schools and corporates.

Organizing monthly events like “Chanakya of the month” which is an award to the best team that accumulates maximum points in the events held during the month.

Discussion of the strategies and consequences of famous historical “Wars”.

Discussion of major political events around the world from strategic point of view.

Organizing Case Interview workshops.

Organizing Inter B School events.
